My educational books
...and what is special about them?
...particularly educational books on Microsoft Office Products?
"When you have finished the exercises in one of my books, you will feel confident to apply what you have just learned, and empowered to self-teach anything new you need to know. You will have become an independent learner!"
I am not a techo
I am an educator
For the first part of my work life I was a secondary school humanities teacher - I had nothing to do with computers, but I did learn how to teach students stuff they didn't want to know, and ensure we all had fun in the process.
I am a professional writer
For the second part of my work life I moved into adult training, initially writing computer based training, then on to writing and delivering training. From there I moved into managing the development and implementation of integrated documentation and training strategies for computer software installations in large corporate environments.
Now I work in publishing, as managing editor for an educational publishing house, and as an independent author of educational books.
I am a high level end user
Over my years working as a writer and manager in corporate workplaces, I have used the suite of Microsoft products extensively. I know what real users need to be able to do with office software programs in the real world.
My educational materials reflect this understanding and teach users what they need to know in order to do something they actually want to do.
